My Road

I am on a road traveled by others. I am not alone in what I do and yet sometimes it feels as though I am the only one. The path that I am on is pretty smooth and easy- going. The road is very windy and there are lots of hills and bumps, but it is easy when there is others helping me. My family and my friends are there with me. There are many roadblocks in my way to success. Some are easy to get over and others are harder. I thought I knew what my destination was many times. I think after reading the Life Laws book I have more of an understanding of where I want to head in my life. I think my destination would be my future. My family with a good job that I love and want. I will ensure my future by getting good grades and keeping on the right track. If I travel my road and do what I need to do then I will get where I need to get.

The Day I Threw Away Caroline's Retainers

The Day I Threw Away Caroline's Retainers

I was in 5th grade at the Math party. It was a sunny day outside and everyone was happy. We were celebrating our domination in the Math tournament. Canton South took most of the awards. This was a party after school with my two favorite teachers at the time, Mr. Boldizar and Mr. Lawver. I sat at the table closest to the door with Caroline, Casey, and Livi. We ate pizza drank pop and had a good time. (Caroline did not drink any pop because she despises the taste of it.) Caroline had to take her retainers out to eat and I did not want to look at them while I was enjoying my pizza. To fix that, I wrapped them up in a napkin so I could eat. After that, everyone went into the gym to play dodge ball. About halfway through the game, Caroline realized she didn't have her retainers in. She left the gym and went back to the classroom. Minutes later she came running back shouting about how her retainers were gone. She was freaking out. I went back to the classroom with her, we realized someone cleaned them up because they must have thought it was food in that napkin. Caroline got very sad because she knew how much they cost her parents. I was feeling really bad because it was my fault they were missing. Mr. Boldizar and Mr. Lawver came back in the room to help look. They searched through all of the trash cans without gloves and opened every napkin to find her retainers. We were in 5th grade so we really didn't do much to help. Eventually, they found it and Caroline was so happy. She forgave me for losing her retainers even though it was such a big deal. From then on, she never let me wrap up her retainers.

Life Law Six: Thought of the Day

~You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

This quote to me is saying that there are always different perspectives on everything you do. This specific quote is saying that you could be an optimist or a pessimist. The rose has thorns. This is a bad thing and most people see this as bad and it can't be changed. Thorns have roses. This is a good thing. These two statement are the same thing it just depends on your perspective and your perception. The way you look at things influences your life around you.

Thought for the Day

~Take action today so that you do not miss your opportunity.

I think that this is very true and it relates to everyone's life. This is saying if you don't take action and do what you are scared of doing, you will miss your opportunity to do it. When you are scared of doing something and you put it off, it will never get done. this really relates to be because I am a big procrastinator and I don't like to step out of my comfort zone. If I took more action when i had the chance I think I would get a lot more things done and wouldn't have as many missed opportunities.
